The Wombles Local Eco Group

see Wharfedale Wombles – see Facebook

The Wombles, Wharfedale or otherwise, lead by example across all eco-requirements – litter management, and all the Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and more)….

We are a group of resident volunteers who care about the environment, and would love for you to come along and join us on the 1st Sunday in a month, at 10:00 am, meet at The Roundhouse, Grange Park.

You can find our Activities listed in the Village Diary

We love Burley in Wharfedale but sometimes, the litter makes us upset. We decided to do something about the mess and so we regularly clear up trash left lying around by the wind or sometimes, by those who are too lazy to throw away their litter appropriately.

Together, we are making a difference, keeping litter off the streets and out of our rivers and oceans, and encouraging people to recycle their junk.

Join us to make a small but meaningful difference to our local environment.
