ACCESS BUS

It is of particular benefit to people who are unable to use standard bus services, as the driver assists passengers from door-to-door, including boarding and alighting. The buses are fully accessible, fitted with seatbelts and the most up-to-date wheelchair restraints.

People with ENCTS permits, such as Senior, Disabled or Blind Persons Pass travel FREE. For other adults there is a flat rate fare.

Minibus Hire
We hire out fully accessible minibuses to groups from Addingham, Burley in Wharfedale, Ilkley and Menston areas.

Groups can either use their own driver or can ask if we have a volunteer available to drive for them.

All drivers will need to be MiDAS trained, or an acceptable alternative. MiDAS training can be provided locally on a flexible basis. Self Drive Hire will attract VAT at the prevailing rate.

THE BUSES CAN BE DRIVEN BY ANYONE ON OUR REGISTER OF ASSESSED AND APPROVED DRIVERS. IF YOUR GROUP DOESN’T HAVE ONE, WE CAN PROVIDE TRAINING TO MiDAS STANDARD (A NATIONALLY RECOGNISED STANDARD) OR WE MAY BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A VOLUNTEER DRIVER, PLEASE ASK WHEN BOOKING.

New Service Starting 31 July 2024  – Free Shopper’s Bus to Morrison’s Guiseley, every Wednesday 

We are trialling a free mini bus for the benefit of people from Burley in Wharfedale  who find it difficult through age or disability to access public transport. Collection is from each person’s home address.

The bus will allow for 1.5 hrs shopping, so why not visit the cafe and have a browse.

First pick-up around 9am .
