Burley Theatre Group is a local amateur theatre group which puts on around three shows a year.

We perform mainly in the Queen’s Hall, Burley in Wharfedale, a West Yorkshire village between Otley and Ilkley. We depend entirely on the skills and efforts of local people, not just for acting talent, but for the many other roles needed for the show to go on. We hope to welcome new members whether you want to act, help out with costumes and stage management, or help out front of house. See “Join Us” for more information.

We also enter our shows into the Wharfedale Drama Festival, which is an annual competition amongst amateur theatre groups in the Wharfedale area. We have had numerous awards in many different categories over the years.

For a small community group, we achieve a fantastic standard of production so if there is anyone out there who is perhaps put off from coming because it is an amateur show, please give us a chance – you may be pleasantly surprised!
